Lois M. Gish, 80, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 7th, 2020. She was born August 17, 1939 on a farm east of Glendale, Kansas to Antone "Tony" and Verna Layola (Weis) Brozek. Lois went to Glendale Grade School and Brookville High School where she met her husband, H. Neal Gish. Lois worked for School Specialty (Salina), Department of Transportation (Salina) and then moved to Lawrence when her husband Neal was transferred to Kansas City, Missouri with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She worked at the University of Kansas Lawrence in the Arts and Design Office for several years before she and Neal retired and moved back to Salina to be closer to family. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, H. Neal Gish; daughters, Julie Marie Bailey (Pete) of Salina, Lori Lynn Lebel (Joe) of Pennsylvania, and Sheri Louise King (Kevin) of Salina; grandchildren, Chad Bailey (Francheska), David Bailey (Linnea) both of Salina, Jeremy Lebel of Pennsylvania, Carly Minnis (Jeff) of Maine, Kema Schultz (Derek) of Pennsylvania, and Jesse King (Mattie) of Manhattan; and Shane King of Plains, Montana. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Clayton & Micah Bailey, Keiradyn and Nash Bailey, all of Salina, Adalee Grason and Ashland Schultz of Pennsylvania, Benji Minnis of Maine, and Rylan and Roxanne King of Manhattan; sister, Maxine V. Davis of Salina, and Gerlene (Joe) Bryant of Galva; and many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Brozek and infant brother, Mryon Gale. Cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church, 400 E. Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Matt Parnell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina.
