Loren Ted Walter, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016. Loren was born in Springfield, Missouri on February 12, 1928, a son of the late Agnes (Geir) and William Walter. He attended Kansas Wesleyan University and played football. Loren retired from Sears in Salina after 25 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Salina, Kansas. On September 5, 1948, Loren married Marjorie J. (Hagstrom) Walter in Salina at the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of the home; daughter, Mary Jean Walter, of Salina, Kansas; son, Judge Lawrence Walter and wife Christy Melton Walter, of West Chester, Ohio; brother LeRoy Walter, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Drew (Stephanie) Walter, Brent (Meghan) Walter, Chris Walter, David Cranston, Jordan Cranston. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Corrine Walter, sister-in-law, Jean Albert; brother, Delmar Walter At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 19, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salina Presbyterian Manor 2601 E. Crawford Salina, Kansas or Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 S. 9th, Salina, Kansas.
