Lucille Josephine Williams Cannon Jarvis Neustrom Salina, Kansas Lucille “Lukie” was born to Mollie Stockenberg and Charles Williams in their house on S. Connecticut St. in Salina, Kansas, January 5, 1921. She was the last surviving sibling of eight children; Elmer, Thelma, Alice, Ethel, Francis, John and Betty Williams, all born and raised in Salina. Lucille was the widow of three husbands; James Cannon, Mel Jarvis, and Willys Neustrom. She is survived by her sons John William Cannon, his wife Nancy and daughter Lauren Sedillo and James Thomas (Tom) Cannon and his wife Nancy and her four children, Natalie, Gretchen, Chad, and Kiersten Morgan. She is also survived by six, soon to be eight great grandchildren. Lukie was a long time member of Christ Cathedral Episcopalian Church and later converted to Christian Orthodoxy with her marriage to Father Thomas (Willys) Neustom of the All Saints Christian Orthodox Church. She attended Brown Mackie in Salina after graduation from high School and worked for many years at the Salina Board of Trade Lab. She was an active member of the Dudes ‘n Dames Square dance Group with husband Jim in Salina in the 50’s and 60’s. She travelled the world with her second husband, Mel, and was active in the All Saints Church with husband Willys. Lukie was accomplished at needlepoint, cross stitch and bead work, a devoted mother of two boys and later in life a tireless caregiver to her three husbands with terminal illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lukie will always be remembered for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The family will greet friends and there will also be a short prayer service from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at All Saints Orthodox Church. A Orthodox Mass will be celebrated at at All Saints Orthodox Church, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17th, with Fr. Daniel Griffith officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Orthodox Church, 2818 Scanlan Ave., Salina, Kansas 67401 or to the Salina Rescue Mission 1716 Summers Salina, Kansas 67401.
