Salina, Kansas Mildred Marie Rittger Mildred Marie Rittger, 102, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016. Mildred was born in Rural Saline County, KS on January 31, 1914, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Diehl) and Adolph Lebert. She was a primarily a homemaker as well as a hairdresser and postal employee. Mildred was also an accomplished organist and pianist. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. In April, 1936, Mildred married Vernon Rittger and he precedes her in death. Survivors include daughter, Rita M. Kauffman, and husband Robert, of Columbus, Ohio; son, Melvin Rittger, of Salina, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon L. Rittger; son, Gary Rittger; sisters; Viola Wagner, Lavina Gay; and brother, Alvin Leibert. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Funeral service at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18th, with Rev. Kent Happel officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery Ellsworth, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 255 S. 7th, Salina, Kansas 67401.
