Dr. Norman Ross Morrow, 78, of Salina, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Hospice of Salina. He was born July 13, 1933, in Larned, the son of Ross and Agda (Pearson) Morrow. Norman graduated from Garfield High School, attended Fort Hays Kansas State College and graduated from Kansas State University in 1959 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Since 1959, he practiced veterinary medicine at Animal Clinic, Salina, before recently retiring because of illness. Norman also raised Black Angus cattle. His bovine business is 4-R Angus Cattle. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, Salina Masonic Lodge, First Presbyterian Church, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Angus Association, Kansas Livestock Association and Kansas Cattlemen's Association. Norman is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Dellett) Morrow, of Salina; daughter, Rene Morrow, wife of Steve Shinn, of Salina; daughter, Reesa Helzberg, wife of Dr. John Helzberg, of Shawnee Mission; son, Ric Morrow, husband of Lisa Morrow, of Olathe; daughter, Richae Morrow, of Salina; and his sister, Jeanie Siler, of Prairie Village. Norman has four grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Helzberg and Taylor and Talia Morrow. Norman and Marj have two shelter dogs, Chloe and Bella and a vast array of grandcats and granddogs. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Audrey (Morrow) Wells. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina. The family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Garfield Cemetery in Garfield. Please feel free to wear purple. A memorial celebration at First Presbyterian Church, Salina, will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 308 S. Eighth St., Salina 67401, or to the Dr. Norman R. Morrow Scholarship Fund in College of Veterinary Medicine, 1700 Denison Ave., Room 103 - Trotter Hall, Manhattan 66506.
