Patricia A. Ransom

Patricia A. Ransom, 62, of Salina passed away, Tuesday at her home. She was born May 16, 1949 in Chattanooga, TN to Ezra Robinson and Laura L. (Davis) McDuffie. Patricia earned a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University in 1971. She then went on to earn her master's degree from Nebraska University. She worked as a school teacher and as a counselor for Social and Rehabilitative Services. Patricia is survived by her cousins, Greg Tiller of Salina; Darryl Tiller of Salina; Reginald Tiller, Belinda Tiller, Cynthia Dupree, Pete Davis Jr., Dewayne Davis, John Davis, Wanda, Brooks, and Shirley Davis, all of Chattanooga, TN She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5-7. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Pastor Paul Long will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
