Patricia Ann Brown, 71, of Salina was called home to the Lord, Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center. She was born in Sedalia, Missouri on August 19, 1941, to the late Zelma (Brinkley) Washington and Albert Woods. Pat was raised in Parsons, Kansas and worked at the ammunition factory until she moved to Salina in 1973. She then worked at and retired from Philips Lighting after thirty years. Pat was a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she served as the Announcement Clerk and was a member of the Matrons, who fed the homeless every fourth Saturday. Pat loved K.U. Basketball and her three dogs; Prince, Max, and Lady. Survivors include her daughter, Terri L. (Bridget) Dixon, of Lawrence; granddaughter, Lillian Dixon, of Lawrence; grandson, Quincy Dixon, of Lawrence; aunts, Velma Harding, of Parsons; and Ester Thomas, of Kansas City.; best friends, Jackie Anders and Celeste Pope, of Salina; Joyce Hall, of Parsons; as well as special friends, Dwayne Morrison, of Portland, Oregon; and Roberta Avery of Vallejo, Califonia. Cremation has been chosen.Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Larry Jones, officiating.
