Patricia "Pat" "Meemaw" Ann Miller

Patricia Ann Miller, 78, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 4th, 2019. Patricia was born in Kansas City, Kansas on October 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Myrtle E. (Wigton) McCurnin and John O. Spradlin. Pat attended Brown Mackie College and Kansas Wesleyan University, achieving a double major in Criminal Justice and Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She worked as a secretary at Salina Area Vo-Tech, Chase Law Firm, and Harding Glass before joining the family business with her grandmother, mother, and daughter at the Newport Grill. Upon closing of the restaurant, she became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for a local private office. She worked for OCCK where she eventually became a guardian for several clients and just received a certificate for 21 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family, watching the Game Show Network, loved camping, swimming, and being outdoors. She always put everyone else's needs ahead of her own. She liked putting on her "Havin' Fun Hat" and going on life's little adventures. Survivors include a daughter, Kim Fairbanks (Stephen), of Salina, Kansas; son, Shawn Miller, (Jody), of St. George, Kansas; step-son, George Barkley of Topeka; grandchildren, Amanda Norwood (Brandon), Chelseana Crouse (Raven), Brent Weir, and Ryan Schneider and a great grandson "on the way", Oaken Crouse. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Miller. At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 10th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Animal Shelter and One Dog at a Time MHK, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
