Richard Harvey Taylor, 74, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, July 24th, at his residence. . Rick was born in Salina, Kansas on June 10, 1939, a son of Lee Taylor and Florence (Gruber) Forkner. He worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector at Beech Salina. He was a graduate of Salina High School in 1957, a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Salina, former member of the EAA (Expermintal Aircraft Association), NAG (National Air Racing Group), VFW Post 7743 in Osborne, KS, and American Legion Post 721 in Salina. Rick was united in marriage to Lavene 'Chris' Christine Taylor on June 27, 1976, she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Florence Forkner; step sister, Georgia Hood, of Mount Vernon, Washington; two daughters, Penny (Mike) Burke, of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; Kathy (Glen) Clements,of Salina; a son,Gary (Debra) Wilson, of Lucas, Kansas; also surviving are grandchildren, Kristin Burke, Melissa Burke, Jennifer Burke, Nichlas Burke, Dustin (Tammy) Wilson, Michel (Heather) Wilson, Scott Wilson, Stephan Clements, Kaitlyn (Cory) Clements-Krager, Nikki Taylor, and Aaron Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Michael Burke, Dylan Burke, Saamya Burke, Saysia Burke, Nicholas Burke Jr., Lyric (Micheal) Burke-Dingle, Prestion Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Hunter Smith, and Lance Smith. He is preceded in death by 2 sons, (Kevin Taylor and Mark Taylor); 1 stepbrother (John Forkner); step-sister, Florence Barrett; grandson (Michael Burke); and a great granddaughter Shyan Burke. A memorial service will be held at at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013, with Pastor Joel Reimers officiating.
