Richard Lyle (“Dick”) Webb, of Salina, son of Fred Webb and Louise (Abell) Webb, died at home in the company of his family on September 24, 2021. Mr. Webb was born on June 19, 1930, near Beverly, Kansas, graduating from Beverly H.S. in 1948, Kansas State University (B.Ed.), and Emporia State University (M.E. Admin.). He served as a teacher, coach, and Principal in elementary schools at Bavaria, Bunker Hill, Lucas, Lincolnville, Junction City, Roxbury and Lindsborg until his retirement in 1974. Mr. Webb was married to E. Deane Percival (Deceased) and is survived by his sister, Lavonne Woody, Salina; his three children, Deborah Cheswick of Salina, Dennis Webb (Marsha) of Wichita, and Rebecca Mettlen (Dell) of Salina; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. All were blessed by his wit, humor, wisdom and love. In his last years, he was a faithful member of Salina Mennonite Church, and a friend to many. A memorial service will be held at Salina Mennonite Church, 600 State Street, in Salina on Monday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m.
