Rita Marie Casanova

Rita Marie Casanova, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9th, 2022.
Rita was born at home in Western Kansas to Martin and Leona Wasinger. She was raised in Salina.
On April 26th, 1983, Rita married John Casanova. They were married 39 years and lived most of their married life in Salina.
Rita was known for her deep love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her time was spent studying the word of God and sharing it with each individual she met. Ministry was her heart’s desire.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents and children, Joseph Bell and Deborah Bell; sisters, Virgilene Tyler, Judy Guinn, and brother, Martin Wasinger.
Rita is survived by her husband, John and three sisters, Dorothy Sebesta, of Salina, Kansas, Rose Kalivoda (George), of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Geri King (John), of Harrisburg, North Carolina. Rita was a blessing to many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held for John and Rita on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
