Robert Alan Vering

Robert Alan Vering, 60, of Salina, KS, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27th, surrounded by his loving family. Robert (Bob) was born in Marysville, Kansas on May 31, 1955, son of the late Bernadine (Kieffer) Vering and John Vering, II. He graduated in 1973 from Marysville KS. He then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad before moving to Salina and opening his business Central Kansas Heating and Cooling which he owned operated for many years. Survivors include his wife of 28 years Kim (Bishop) Vering, two daughters, Kiley Meyer and husband, Chris of Salina and Chandra Heiman and husband Brad of Hanover, Kansas; two brothers, John (Ann) Vering of Kansas City, Missouri and Ron (Debra) Vering of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister, Sharon (Dave) Gerdes of Monument, Colorado; three grandchildren; Eli, Nora and Addy Heiman and many nieces and nephews. Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing up at his family’s farm, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina.
