Robert Joseph Falta Robert Joseph Falta, 90, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 19th, at Holiday Resort. Robert was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 14, 1923, a son of the late Selma (Gross) and Joseph Falta. On November 11, 1943, Robert married Helen (Heck) Falta. He was a radio operator in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from the Southern College Optometry School in 1952 and practiced in Salina for more than 40 years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Susan Gearhart, of Salina and Barbara Falta, of Tacoma, Washington; two brothers, Bill (Nancy) Falta of Jacksonville, Florida and Richard (Joan) Falta of Waco, Texas; sister Betty Falta of Blackburg, Virgina; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. 2nd, Salina, Kansas 67401.
