Robert Lee Koch, 80, of Salina, passed away Thursday, September 24th, at his residence. Robert was born in Lebanon, Kansas on October 7, 1934, to the late Frances Mary (Hyde) and Bernard Adolph Koch. He retired from Montgomery Ward and Airgas. Robert was also an active member and Elder at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He enjoyed volunteering at the Salina Food Bank and with the Boy Scouts. Robert was the widower of Mary Louise (DeMent) Koch. Survivors include his daughters; Diane Mannebach, of Salina; Nada Ingalsbe, and husband Kennan, of St. George, Kansas; and Claudine Smit, and husband Jeff, of McPherson, Kansas; sons, James 'Jim” Koch, and wife Marjie, of Salina, and Robert 'Bobby' Koch, and wife Gena, of Salina; sisters, Maxine Steves, of Chanute, Kansas, Mable Mitchell, of Severy, Kansas; Mary Livingston, of Olathe, Kansas, and Nina Boudreaux, and husband George, of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, William “Bill” Koch, and wife Ann, of Canon City, Colorado, and George Koch, and wife Betty Koch, of Wichita, Kansas; as well as 20 Grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, September 28 from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at First Christian Church, 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 29th, with Rev. Greg Rea officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Gaucher’s Foundation, in honor of Robert’s great granddaughters, Alexa Ingalsbe and Hallie Moldrup with Type III; the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank, or First Christian Church in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
