Rodney Michiel Bachofer

Rodney Michiel Bachofer Rodney M. Bachofer, 74, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born in Salina on June 11, 1936, the son of the late Andrew L. and Catherine V (Pickering) Bachofer. Rodney was a high school graduate and worked as a firefighter for the City of Salina. He was the husband of Katheryn Ann (Swedenburg) Bachofer, who survives. Survivors include his daughters; Christine (Scott) Elston of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Catherine (Mark) Gunther of Houston, Texas; Constance (Garry) Banning of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cynthia Bachofer of Austin, Texas; son, Andrew Bachofer of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Roger, Ross, and Rockne 'Charlie' Bachofer; sisters, Arlyn Bachofer and Lea Cook; as well as grandchildren, Timothy, Kaitlyn, and Ryan Banning; Aaron and Emmett Elston; and Natalie and Abigael Gunther. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; and infant grandson, Troy Michael Banning. Cremation has been chosen, and a memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina.
