Roger D. Bales

Roger Dee Bales, 72, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, May 21st. Roger was born in Pratt, Kansas on June 27, 1940, to the late Dorothy (Richard) and Ralph Bales. Survivors inscude his son, Joel Bales of Abilene; daughters, Sara Bales (Robert Gatton) of Portland, OR, and Katie (Bill) Allen of Abilene; brothers, Donald (Rosemary) Bales of Wichita, KS, and Reginald Bales of Boulder, CO; as well as grandchildren; Fisher and Lila Allen. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Bales; sister, Mona Jo Bales; and ex-wife, Judy (Johnson) Bales Nixon. Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Eisenhauer Rose Garden in Abilene, Kansas. The family requests that charitable donations be given to someone in the donor's life who is in need.
