Ronald Gene Wenger

Ronald Gene Wenger, 76, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, May 24th, 2019. Ronald was born in Hays, Kansas on November 16, 1942, a son of the late Eleanor (Weigel) and Lawrence Wenger. On January 25, 1964, Ronald married Karen Fick in Abilene, Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Sheila Schaut, (Brent Spellman), of Salina, Kansas; three sons, Daniel Wenger, (Sandy), of Aurora, Colorado; Darrell Wenger, (Tonna), of Salina, Kansas; Steven Wenger, of Salina, Kansas; sisters, Ella Stroede, of Ellsworth, KS, Dalinda Hernandez, (Mike), of Ulysses, Kansas; brothers, Donald Wenger, (Maria), of Clarksville, Tennessee, Dee Wenger, of Lincoln, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and special friend, Bob Schaut, of Salina, Kansas. He is preceded in death by sister, Alta Stormont; and brothers, Lawrence E. Wenger Jr., Earl A. Wenger and special pet, Roxie. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2019, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with family present from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Russell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home.
