Ronald Musfelt came into this world on August 11th, 1956 and left this world on August 12, 2026.

Ron graduated from Salina South High in 1974.

Ron began his career with the Salina Fire Department on August 1, 1976, and retired on September 16, 2007.

Throughout his distinguished career, Ronald served as a Firefighter, Firefighter/Engineer, and Fire Engineer/EMT. His dedication and faithful service to the City of Salina were formally recognized by the City in 2007 through a resolution (07-6427) expressing gratitude and appreciation for his many years of service. He was recognized for providing invaluable and, dedicated service to the City and for his commitment to his work and the community he served.

Survivors include his loving wife and best friend, Sheryl Musfelt; his sons, Adam Musfelt (Amanda) of Rockford, Illinois, Tristan Musfelt (Samantha) of Missouri, and Eugene Musfelt of Arizona; and his stepsons, Jesse Hale and Clinton Hale. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Anna Rittenhouse, Aubry Musfelt-Smith (Jack), April Musfelt-Martinez (Damian), Damien, Vade, Moria, Austin, Madison, and Mason Hale.

Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth; his second wife, Kiffi; his stepson, Daniel Hale; his father, Eugene; and his mother, Myrtle “Bonnie” Musfelt.

He will be remembered for his more than three decades of dedicated service, his devotion to his family, and the lasting impact he made on the community he served. His courage, dedication, and commitment as a firefighter and public servant will remain a meaningful part of his legacy.

Honoring Ron's wishes, cremation will take place and no memorial service will be held. His family and friends are encouraged to celebrate his life in their own way and hold close the memories they shared with him.

Ron will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout his years of service.
