Ruby A. Purcell Ruby Adelade Purcell, 93, of Salina, passed away Sunday, April 1st, at Pinnacle Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Salina. Ruby Adelade Lindsey was born in Two Dot, Montana on December 10, 1918, the daughter of the late Harvey and Florence (Smith) Lindsey. She was a retired secretary for the Canada Life Insurance Company in Spokane, WA. Ruby was united in marriage to Ben R Purcell in Seattle, WA on March 6, 1943. They had a 'second home' at Priest Lake in Northern Idaho, where they enjoyed fishing and skiing with family and friends for many years. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ben, her parents Harvey & Florence Lindsey; a stepson Ray E. Purcell; and step-great granddaughter, Linda Rae Richardson; stepson-in-law, William Erwin, Sr., 3 brothers Harvey, Robert & Donald and 8 sisters Hazel, Florence, Evelyn, Olive, Alice, Lois, Helen & Marjorie. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Helen M. Richardson, wife of Glenn of Park City, KS; Ellen M. Erwin, of Coldwater, KS; two stepsons Roy E. Purcell, husband of Mary Anna of Salina, and Ralph E. Purcell, of Pueblo; also surviving are 7 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great grandchildren, and 10 step-great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 6th, with Pastor Kirk Stricker officiating at the Pinnacle Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 2936 Georgia in Salina. Inurnment will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS at a later date. The family request memorials to the Pinnacle Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center 2936 Georgia or Hospice of Salina.
