Sammie Lee Wilson, Sr., 67, of Salina, passed away Monday, January 11th, 2021. Sammie was born in Jonestown, Mississippi on May 15, 1953, a son of the late Reola (Collins) and Allen Wilson, Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Dawn North, (Latron) of Evansville, Indiana, Haley Grant-Wilson, of Topeka; two sons, Sammie Wilson, Jr., of Aurora, Colorado, Joshua Wilson, (Miranda) of Salina; a host of grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by eight sisters, Margaret Moore, of Overland Park, Shirley Jordan, of Denver, Colorado, Alma Chamberlain, of Salina, Talley Miller, of Columbia, Missouri, Tenne Jackson, of Anniston, Alabama, Sharon Thompson, of Lenexa, Kathleen Wilson, of Salina, Pauline Thompson, (Vernel) of Salina; six brothers, Gabe Wilson, of Kansas City, Missouri, Allen Wilson, Jr., of Salina, David Wilson, of Kansas City, Missouri, Melvin Wilson, of Wichita, Gregory Wilson, of Salina, and Odell Wilson, of Salina. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2021 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 19th at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina, Kansas. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required at all events. Donations may be made to the family, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas 67401.
