Sandra Lynn Burch

Sandra Lynn Burch, 66, of Marquette, Kansas passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. Sandra was born in Wheeler, Texas on February 9, 1950. Sandra was the wife of Ronnie K. Burch. They were married on March 30, 1972 at the First United Methodist Church, in Spearman, Texas. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Sonja Griffith, her fianc Daniel Davis, of Blue Springs, Missouri; her son, Kenneth E. Burch, husband of Joie Beth of Whitney, Texas; sister, Sharon, wife of Larry E. Hannon, of Crowell, Texas; 4 grandchildren ~ Allyx Burch, Andie Burch, Baylie Burch and Faith Griffith. Sandra worked and enjoyed her time at the Kansas Park Service. She also enjoyed bringing food to the Salina Rescue Mission. After Sandra recovered from cancer, she enjoyed going to Holiday Resort to help uplift others that were going through what she had been through. Sandra’s family would like to thank Dr. Toon for referring Sandra to Dr. Bassem Chehab, Heart Specialist, at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS. Thank you for all the support of the entire staff of Tammy Walker Cancer Center, and the staff of Salina Regional Health Center. Ronnie would also like to thank Shannon Lewis for all of her support and standing by Sandra through the last couple years. She made every day easier for Sandra. Ronnie would like to thank Randy Peschka and coworkers at Northern Natural Gas for all their support over the past couple of years. Ronnie would also like to thank their daughter, Sonja Griffith, for all of her support and always being there for them. At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be at Lake Kanopolis, Shore Outdoor Chapel, Kanopolis, Kansas at 4:00pm, on Saturday, November 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sandra’s name to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, 520 S. Santa Fe Ave., Salina, Kansas.
