SGT David Beltran SGT David Beltran, 22, of Fort Riley, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. David was born in Los Angeles, California on August 15, 1990, son of Pedro Luis Beltran and Maria (Montoya) Beltran. David was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral in Salina. David was a Sergeant in the United States Army in Fort Riley, Kansas. He served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Survivors include his parents; daughter, Bailey Beltran, of Salina; brothers, Luis Beltran and Pedro Beltran, Jr., both of Salina; grandfather, Manuel Beltran, of Mexico; grandmother, Herminia Rosas, of Mexico; and half sister, Maria Del Rosario Beltran, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Agustin Montoya and Maria Luisa de Montoya; and cousin Jose Marcos Montoya. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7th, with Fr. Gale Hammerschmidt officiating. Interment will follow the mass at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A Rosary will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of David Beltran for his daughter.
