Shawn Carlos Nevins

Shawn Carlos Nevins, 6, of Salina Kansas passed away Saturday, August 6th in Moundridge, Kansas. Shawn was born in Salina, Kansas on March 18, 2016 a son of Sadetthong “Sally” and James Nevins. Shawn enjoyed camping and playing with his brothers, Uncle Barry, Dad and Mom. Watching SpongeBob, dancing, going for walks and singing were all things that made him truly happy. Shawn was preceded in death by his father, James Nevins, grandfather, Khamvane Sayasing & grandmother, Carolyn Cashman. Shawn is survived by his mother, Sadetthong “Sally” Nevins; brothers, Christian and Jayden Nevins of Salina, Kansas; sister, Brandy Archer (Kyle) of Girard, Kansas; grandparents, Bounnao Sayasing of Salina and Donald Nevins of Mankato, Kansas; uncles, Barry Sayasing of Salina, Kansas, Pong Keopine (Phoukham) of Nampa, Idaho, Scott Sayasing (Angelia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Nevins (Melinda) of Hoxie, Kansas, Matthew Nevins (Penny) of Concordia, Kansas; aunts, Jennifer Severson (Todd) of Racine, Wisconsin and Melissa Poe (Kara) of Hutchinson, Kansas. Visitation will be held 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 18th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory in Salina, Kansas. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 18th at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Acker officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 25th, at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bogue, Kansas. Donations may be made to Sadetthong Nevins for expenses, in care of the funeral home.
