Shirley Beatrice Deines

Shirley Beatrice Deines, 77, of Smolan, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 15th, 2016. Shirley was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 25, 1938, a daughter of the late Minnie Elizabeth (McKain) Smith and Lester Smith. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Deines of the home; daughters, Debbie E. Zargoza, of Overland Park, Kansas, Pamela S. Myers, of Salina, Kansas, Donna D. Hill, of Salina, Kansas, Sherrie K. Roets, of Salina, Kansas, Penny L. Perez, of Salina, Kansas; sister, Johanna Luce; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lester Smith Jr., Joseph Smith; sisters, Roberta Layton, Jean Smith; son, Terry E. Hill; son-in-law, Michael Zaragoza; granddaughters, Angela Hernandez and Danielle Zaragoza. Visitation will be held Monday, January 18 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Graveside services at Swedish Evangelical Cemetery, Smolan, Kansas, at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 18th, with Rev. Jon Fillipi officiating.
