Son Minh "Tony" Nguyen

Son Minh 'Tony' Nguyen, 25, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 19th. Tony was born in Soc Trang, Vietnam on June 6, 1991, to Hoang (Thanh) and Phung M. Nguyen Tony served in the United States Marine Corps for four years in the infantry. Following his Marine Corps service, he was a member of the Kansas Air National Guard. He worked at the Salina Airport as an air rescue firefighter. Survivors include his fiance, Brittany Roderick, of Salina; sons, Jayden Nguyen and Mason Nguyen, both of Salina, parents, Phung M. and Hoang Nguyen of Cypress, Texas; and sisters, Tien Nguyen, and Anna Nguyen, both of Cypress, Texas. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Salina, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m., and say the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9926 Jones Rd., Houston, Texas, and Sunday, June 26 from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 27 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 6550 Fairbanks North Houston Rd, Houston, Texas. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, Texas.
