Stan R. Heitsman, 57, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017. Stan was born in Salina, Kansas on March 31, 1960, a son of the late Marilyn K. Hurt. He graduated from Solomon High School in 1980. After high school Stan attended Vo-Tech and worked for Cox Communications for over 25 years. Other jobs include Fed-Ex Groud, Lindsborg Laundry Service, and Bruhl Electric. Stan was most commonly known as 'Stan the cableman' or 'Stan the Man.' He had a kind, generous and fun-loving spirit, always enjoying life with a smile on his face. He had a love for KSU sports, the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed golfing in his spare time. Survivors include two daughters, Julianne Robinson, of Salina, and Ashley Rinke-Heitsman, of Longview, Washington; Sister, Rhonda Blodgett and husband James of Wichita, Kansas; Brother, Steve Heitsman of Salina, Kansas; three half-sisters, Sonia Arb, Nadine Hurt, and Marcia Spring; Nephew, Chad Anderson of Salina, Kansas; Niece, Heather Slater and husband Brian of Salina, Kansas; Niece, Christine Elliott and husband Jessie of Abilene, Kansas; 5 Great Nephews, 5 Great Nieces and a host of long-time friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and his brother Marvin. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 2nd at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas.
