Stephen E. "Steve" Mcdowell

Stephen E. “Steve” McDowell, 70, of Salina, Kansas, was born June 30, 1952, and passed Aug. 3, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doreen; daughter, Heather Wagoner, son-in-law, Jared, and granddaughter, Lauren; daughter, Stephanie McDowell and son-in-law, Derek Belton; siblings, Linda Ash, Jim McDowell, and Lisa McDowell; and many cherished friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jay McDowell. A celebration of life will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, at First Christian Church on 2727 E. Crawford St. in Salina, followed by a luncheon at the Friendship Center on 746 Commanche Ave. in Salina. Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be 9 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cemetery near Gypsum, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Southeast of Saline School District Education Foundation, 5056 E K-4 Hwy, Gypsum KS 67448.
