Stephen Ray Neaderhiser

Stephen Ray Neaderhiser, 59, of Smolan, Kansas, passed away at his residence. Steve was born in Salina, Kansas on March 11, 1953, to Jean Kathryn (Quinn) Neaderhiser and the late William 'Bill' Duane Neaderhiser. Steve graduated from Bennington High School in the class of 1971. He also attended Kansas State University from 1971 - 1974, and returned to KSU in 2011 with plans to graduate in May 2013. On July 2, 1982, he married Margaret McConnell in Manhattan, Kansas. He worked in many different positions at Hawker Beechcraft from 1994 - 2011, as well as being an independent contractor throughout his life. Steve was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved his family very much. Survivors include his mother; son, Stephen (Angela Holzmeister) Neaderhiser, of Massillon, Ohio; daughters, Laura (Nathan) Kendrick, of Smolan, Kansas, and Jenna (Sam) Weaver, of Summerville, South Carolina; as well as his grandchildren, Moira Kendrick, Trevor Kendrick, Olivia Kendrick, and Daphne Weaver. He is preceded in death by his father. At the family's request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 31st, at Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Kansas. A memorial service will follow at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 31st, with Marty Weaver officiating.
