Thayer Paul Ulmen

Thayer Paul Ulmen, 57, of Salina, passed away Thursday, August 6th, at his residence. Thayer was born in St. Johnsberry, VT on September 9, 1957, to Cyril Ulmen and the late Barbara (Smith) Ulmen. Thayer served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked in the warehouse at Advanced Auto Parts. He was also a big fan of Boston sports teams. Survivors include his father, Cyril Ulmen, of Assaria, Kansas; daughter, Ryan Michelle Ulmen, of Lindsborg, Kansas; brother, Timothy Martin of Wichita; sister, Lucinda Nelson of Salina, KS; grandson, Tristen; nieces and nephews, T.J., Emily, Wes; and friend, Tiffany Eaton and her parents Larry and Jean Neipert. Visitation will be held at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home on August 13th from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, with family present from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM at Assaria Lutheran Church on August 14th, with Pastor Laura Smith officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Thayer’s name to Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
