Vernon Leroy Cronk

Vernon Leroy Cronk, 82, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 13th, 2014. Vernon was born in Covert, Kansas on August 4, 1932, son of the late Abby (Goad) and Vern Cronk. Leroy was a brick mason for most of his life and ended his career in Quality Control at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. On February 5, 1952, Leroy married Melva Ilene Eller. Survivors include his wife, Melva of the home, two daughters, Debra Walters, of Salina, Kansas; and Sandy Bollinger, of Salina, Kansas; son, Doug Cronk, of Noble, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Rachelle Giroux (Chris), Jessie Lee, Jamie Miller (JP),Kelly Zentz, Michael Walters; 5 great grandchildren, Jaylin Zentz, Abby Miller, Avery Miller, Olivia Giroux, Gavin Giroux; and special family friend, Mike Blaine. He is preceded in death by sister, Roberta Surseley. Private family services will be held.
