Virginia Elizabeth Frese

Virginia Elizabeth Frese, 91, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 1st, 2018. Virginia was born in Glen Elder, on January 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Alla (Detwiler) and Thomas Henry Thomasson. Virginia was a homemaker and elementary school teacher and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. On May 23, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arthur Zemke at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hunter. He died, June 11, 1958. On December 4, 1960, Virginia was united in marriage to Theodore Frese at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore 'Ted' Frese; son, Ronald Frese and sister, Alla Witham. Survivors include her son, Tim Frese, of Salina, extended family, Doug and Marva Weller; Micheal, Joycelyn, Nathan, Drew, and Ryan Weller; Rob, Shayna, Mackenna, Savanna, and Barbee. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, February 5, 2018 at Glenwood Cemetery, Glen Elder, Kansas, with Pastor Boxman and Pastor Kootz officiating.
