William Dean Adams, 84, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 4th. William was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on January 22, 1934, a son of the late Katie M. (Hutchinson) and Christian H. Adams. Mr. Adams served in the army during the Korean War. He learned to cook during his time in the army, and later worked as a Chef for 30 years. He traveled and cooked for various resorts, Russell's restaurant in Salina, Kansas State University, and Highway Patrol. In his free time, he enjoyed fixing up watches and clocks. He also enjoyed taking the time to attend auctions and estate sales, and go to casinos. He was a huge college football and Nebraska Huskers fan. Survivors include his brother, Jess Adams; and special friends, Garold and Vicki Soldan (and their six fur children), Gerald and Judi Soldan, Carol Bragg, Richard Young, his furry friend, Jake, and his many friends at Arbor Court. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his nine siblings, Charles and Floyd Adams, Ida Rakes, Faye Hostitter, Helen Kretzer, Phyllis Adams, Twila Gillispie, Nellie Thorne, and Lillian Baucke. Memorial service will be held April 23rd, from 3:30 to 5:30 at Arbor Court, 1000 Schippel Dr., Salina.
